"Loved the food and service! The poutine is a must try! We came in and asked our waiter to pick us a good beer flight and OMG: all options were amazing! We ended up returning to this place for a second time in one evening!"

"Bittercreek Alehouse feels like the kind of place you accidentally discover once and then quietly start using as a personal landmark for your life. “That was the winter I ate elk chili at Bittercreek.” “That conversation should have happened over a Bittercreek burger.” It has that energy. I came in without expectations and left with the very specific satisfaction of having been exactly where I was supposed to be. The beer list alone deserves respect — not flashy, not overwhelming, just thoughtfully curated, like someone actually drinks this stuff and cares. The food matches that same philosophy. Honest, hearty, no gimmicks. My burger arrived looking confident, not dressed up for Instagram, just ready to do its job — and it absolutely did. The atmosphere is the real hook. Warm wood, low hum of conversation, people lingering instead of rushing. No one’s pretending. Servers know the menu, don’t rush you, and somehow manage to be efficient without killing the vibe. It’s a rare balance. Bittercreek doesn’t try to impress you. It just quietly earns your loyalty. And somehow, that feels even better."

"Such an amazing rustic great atmosphere spot right downtown! Perfect for lunch, dinner, or even a visit to their bar! The beef focaccia is to die for! The fries were delicious and perfectly crispy and soft. The Cesar salad with salmon was my favorite but it’s hard to decide when everything was so delicious! Great service even though it can get quite busy! Highly recommend if you are in the area, this was our 3rd time visiting!"

"Huntsman burger was one of the best burgers I have ever tried. The Orange Whip Hazy IPA was amazing. Service was excellent. Only thing I didn’t love was the place is very loud/busy inside (so I sat outside since the weather was perfect)."

"I stopped by Bittercreek for a weekday lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere—lots of seating options both inside and out. We grabbed a spot on the patio, which was perfect for a little people-watching and enjoying the sunshine. I ordered the cobb salad and was impressed by how flavorful everything was. The portion was more than generous, with plenty of fresh toppings and a nice balance of ingredients. My friend had the chicken sandwich, which also looked hearty and well-prepared. Service was friendly and our server checked in on us a couple of times, but it did take about 35 minutes for our food to come out. That felt a bit long, especially since we just had salads and sandwiches. Still, the staff’s positive attitude made up for the wait. Overall, Bittercreek is a solid spot if you’re not in a huge rush—good food, friendly faces, and a comfortable spot to relax. I’d definitely come back, maybe with a bit more time to spare."

"Food is awesome. Service is even better. I sit down and they have my drink in front of me before I order. I don’t even come in enough for that to be honest. It’s in the running for my favorite place in Boise. Regularly get the. Burger with a salad on the side. Great selection of beers. Have options for everyone."

"Strolling along 8th street and found a nice place to eat dinner. We sat outside and was pleasant with the heaters going. We had the Poutine for a stater and then shared the Wild Coho Salmon with Caesar Salad. Food was great and Amaya was a great server."
